Learn with Games – Joy is Work & Work is Joy

Our focus and passion is helping you and your dog develop the skills to strengthen your connection — through shared activities that are meaningful for both of you.

We specialise in dog-centred teaching that works with your dog’s natural instincts, creating learning that feels clear, enjoyable, and sustainable in real life.

Our offerings include Nosework/Scentwork classes (in-person), online courses, Hunting Games and Canine Enrichment programs. All in-person training and coaching is based in Adelaide, South Australia.

All our classes are suitable for dogs who may not feel comfortable in traditional group settings — including those who are sensitive, anxious, or simply don’t quite “fit” the usual mould. You and your dog are welcome here.

Private Nosework Sessions

Working with Anke through her private scent work sessions has been one of the most rewarding experiences I have had with my dog, Omen. Anke’s approach is thoughtful, highly personalised, and genuinely focused on building a strong, positive relationship between dog and handler. The training is very much dog-led, with each session prioritising the dog’s mental wellbeing, allowing them to learn at their own pace and fully engage in the work.

Anke has an incredible ability to read both dog and handler, with each session tailored specifically to our needs. Under Anke’s guidance, I was able to watch Omen thrive doing something he loves. Through the private nosework sessions, he has not only developed his scent work skills but has also grown significantly in confidence and focus. Scent work has become both an effective training tool for me and an incredibly enriching outlet for him.

Anke’s feedback is always constructive, encouraging, and easy to apply. Videoing the sessions and being provided with observable feedback was incredibly helpful. It has allowed me to become a more thoughtful and observant handler while helping me to better understand Omen’s behaviour during searches and in everyday life.

I would highly recommend Anke’s private nosework sessions to anyone looking for personalised support in developing their dog’s scent work. Whether your goal is confidence-building, mental stimulation, or refining skills, these sessions are an invaluable investment in your dog’s wellbeing and your relationship with them.

It has been such a positive experience, and Omen has enjoyed every minute of it.

One-on-One Coaching

Ankes 1:1 training has been an absolute game changer for myself and Lucy, my 10 yr old Fox Terrier X, who has big feelings for people, dogs and the outside world.
Her training focused on Lucys emotions and building a stronger relationship with me through playing games and having fun. In just three months there has been a huge change.  Lucy is more playful, calmer and we have a  much stronger connection. She is now comfortable with people visiting at home and  can  walk past strangers without lunging and barking. I am so happy  with her progress we are now working on her big feelings for the outside world.

Nosework Classes

Over the past year, my Border Collie Zahra and I have been attending scent work classes with Anke. When we first started, both Zahra and I were completely new to scent training. Throughout this journey, Anke has guided us every step of the way with patience, kindness, and incredible knowledge.
In the beginning, Zahra was quite nervous in new spaces and could be wary of unfamiliar people. With Anke’s thoughtful and supportive approach, I have watched Zahra grow into a confident dog who now eagerly runs up to the starting line, ready to begin her scent work session.
The bond that has developed between Zahra and me through this training has been incredibly special. I am truly grateful that Anke has been part of our journey and has helped guide us along the way. Her training is the perfect balance of guidance, patience, understanding, and encouragement, allowing both Zahra and I to learn and grow together.
Anke is a fantastic trainer, and I feel very lucky to experience and be part of the wonderful work she does.

Sniffing Games is a non-trialing version of Nosework (also know as Scentwork), that taps into your dog’s natural instinct to sniff, search, and solve problems.

It’s more than just a fun activity – it’s a powerful way to build confidence, focus, and independence, all while strengthening your connection as a team.

In Nosework, your dog learns to use their incredible sense of smell to find food, toys, or specific target odours – turning everyday environments into exciting scent puzzles.

Because dogs work individually and at their own pace, Nosework is suitable for:

  • all breeds
  • all ages
  • shy, sensitive, or easily overwhelmed dogs

It provides both mental stimulation and physical exercise, without the pressure of traditional training environments.

As your dog learns to trust their nose and make their own choices, you’ll see something special:

  • more confidence
  • more focus
  • and a dog who wants to engage with you

We are opening an account of joy and enthusiasm and want to keep adding to this account in this dog driven game!

What are Hunting Games?

Hunting Games is all about channeling your dog’s natural instincts into fun, structured training games – using food, toys, and the environment as rewards. You can play these games everywhere without any big setup.

What if the behaviours you find challenging – running off, chasing, sniffing everything, getting distracted by the environment – are actually the perfect starting point for learning?

Hunting Games is designed to help you better understand what makes your dog tick. You’ll learn more about their desires, motivations, and needs, and then use that knowledge to build focus, connection, and reliability through fun, structured games.

Instead of trying to stop your dog from being who they are, we channel those natural instincts into skills that matter in everyday life.

Canine Enrichment is all about understanding your dog’s unique needs and carefully shaping a safe, supportive environment where they can thrive. It focuses on meeting your dog’s needs, giving them agency and safe opportunities to be a dog.

I have developed Hunting Games for Pet Dogs, to give your gundog (or any breed that has a desire to retrieve) the outlet they need.
